    Automated Counter Service Sheet

    Hi ,

I am not familiar with VBA but I think this most likely can be achieved only by VBA.

I am trying to create a back up system for a counter service in a bank. The bank branch has 6 counters.

Assuming the automated counter machine that operates the counters has malfunctioned.

    1) Assuming the current number is 1001. There will one staff manually giving away the numbers for customers since the machine has malfunctioned.

    2) All counter staff will then have a shared Excel sheet that would show the current number which will be entered manually.

    3) By clicking a button in Excel the Excel sheet will allocate the next number to each counter accordingly.

4)Once each counter has completed the transaction or service for the customer, the counter staff can click on a buttion in Excel and Excel will allocate the next number to the particular counter.

Basically the Excel sheet should be able to operate exactly as the automated machine.

    Is this possible ?

    Appreciate help.

Doubleclick in the range C3:H3 and number will change.

    Charlize,

The solution worked. Thank you for your time and patience. Appreciate it !

My apologies for the inconvenience. I was wondering if the following could be added:

    1) I would like the highest number to be same as the current number in cell B7.For example if the highest number is in counter 6 and the number is 1017, then cell B7 should also read as 1017.This is for the customers to know which is the current number being serviced.

    2) When the automated machine is down, I would like the main screen in my branch bank hall to project the Excel sheet instead for the customers view. Therefore, when a certain counter is done or completed, and when the counter staff double clicks, is there a way to notify the customers of the change in number such as a sound or a change in color ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Charlize,

    This is great !

Once last favor. Can we make the number in cell B7 to be same a the highest number. Example, if currently number 1025 is being serviced in counter 6 and that is the highest number, then cell B7 should also display 1025.

Again , appreciate your patience and time.
