Cell value as sheet background

Is there a way to have the value in a specific cell as the background to a sheet?

I frequently view a table, and more often than not i find after a minute it is last year's table...

You could use a workbook open event that displays a message box like so:

Please Login or Register  to view this content.

The message box will display the contents of C4.

Sorry, I was in a bit of a hurry! I have a couple of years records in a worksheet. I use another sheet to look up whatever I need to look at for previous years, or the current year. What i would like is something like the page number background in Page Layout so I always see what year the data is for.

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

If needed supply a before and after sheet in the workbook so the person helping you can see what you are trying to achieve.

Doing this will ensure you get the result you need!
