Is it possible to hide all comments in a worksheet by default. A password would then be required to unhide all comments. (I know Excel is not a secure environment!)

nothing obvious comes to mind but I will have a quiick look.
Depending on how you were actually going to use this feature it would be relatively easy to programmatically make a copy of the workbook and remove the comments.
Thanks for the effort.
I know it is possible to remove the comments, or extract them to another heet, but would prefer that they remain in the sheet(s)
