Question Need macro to find data rows and copy to another worksheet.

    Here is my project:
Worksheet “Booking Sht” cell J21, will enter a numeric or alpha numeric booking number, example: NAB 123456.
From this cell entry I need a Macro to look at Worksheet “Master” column R5:R5000 for all cells containing this number (NAB 123456) and capture all rows A5:AE5000 that correspond to it (might be as many as 150 rows associated with this number) and populate them into Worksheet “Compile” A5:AE5000. The goal is to : out of spread sheet of approx. 5,000, rows sort out only rows of information pertaining to one booking number into its own spreadsheet for further processing.

Can this be done? and how? Excel 2002. Thanks.

You can do this with an AUTOFILTER pretty simply, no macro needed...or you can record a macro of you applying an autofilter and then just copying the remaining visible data over to the other sheet.

Ever worked with the Data > Filter > AutoFilter?

Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution. Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.
To change a Title on your post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.
    Hope that helps.
