    coding for changing worksheet name

    Hi,

Would someone please help me to write a marco for changing worksheet name? I attached a file here.

Basically, when the accounts exported to excel, all the tabs shown in the file are generated. However, i need to change tab '3' to tab '10' name to the name stated in tab 'menu'. eg tab 1 need to be renamed as 'BB' (not BB/Bunut), tab 2 to 'GEN' (not GEN/General), etc. All must be capital letter.

    Please help.

    Thanks

    Hi

Appreciate if someone can provide the answer. I need to do the same excercise monthly for about 20 reports. So a short cut is a great help.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi mingali
    You indicate
all the tabs shown in the file are generated
Is the worksheet "Menu" part of your imported file?
Also, I'm having an issue in that I cannot re-create your environment. Neither my Excel 2000 or 2007 will allow me to create a tab name with a "/" in the name. So, it's difficult to rename "BB/Bunut" to "BB" when I can't create a sheet called "BB/Bunut".
If you can help me with these issues, I'll be glad to look at yours. John

    Hi Jaslake,

Thanks for your attempt. FYI, 'menu' also from imported file. The whole workbook is generated by an accounting software.

    Hi Shg,

It works like magic! Thanks alot.
