This is very handy, but I am getting a #VALUE! for character strings longer than 256. I do not understand why, but is there a way around this?

Evaluate will only operate on the first 256 characters.

Awesome! With 10K rows and columns through AA, there are too many places that the previous macro could return a #VALUE!. Thanks for the quick reply.
