Display barcode of a number in excelsheet

Hi guys

I have an excelsheet with 2 columns. First column named Reference No and second column named barcode.
The first column stores unique numbers like A12345,A00067 etc. Now I want to display barcodes of the corresponding Reference ids in the 2nd column.

Also, When I goto Insert->Object then it gives me a list except Active Barcode in case I want to add it.

I don't know exactly how to display barcode of a unique number without installing any software.

You first have to install a barcode font ...
http://www.barcodesinc.com/free-barcode-font/

Then Format>Cell>Font

Thanks for your reply. I have installed code39 barcode font and when I goto format->cells->font then a list appears ,then what shall i select from the list.
I am not sure which option shall i select as it has no new option . All the options were also present in the list before the barcode font software was installed.
