Macro required to move Columns and addidng columns with headings

I need help with shifting columns around (re-ordering them) plus adding extra columns with headings on the same sheet. It needs to be a macro as some of the workbooks have 30 sheets and Im not cutting and pasting!

If so one can show me how to shift one or two columns I can figure out the rest ie. move column x to a and b to g etc etc

Thanks very much for your help, its going to save me hours!

    Cheers,
    Matt

    hi,

    Welcome to the Forum

You've come to the right place - here's a collection of links with some introductory explanations about using macros:
    http://www.thecodecage.com/forumz/ex...tml#post471341
This is the one I initially read: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/getstarted.htm

With the above knowledge plus this tip...
(press [alt + T + M + R] to start recording a macro in the "this workbook", complete your actions manually, press [alt + T + M + R] to stop recording, follow the instructions on Dave's site to find your recorded code, & post that to this thread for us to help you with.)
... you'll be away laughing in no time - with spare time
