    Looping Through Headers and Rows

    Hi all,
    I’m really stuck here and could use some insight into solving this problem.
    I’m attempting to loop through several ranges on a sheet and associate each row with its date header -
    Read through certain values -
    Then based on those values, paste to another sheet , in the following manner :

    This pertains to each Cash Entry – write code to paste the Information to “YEARLY TOTALS “ Sheet:

    Date of Transaction “m/yy”
    Designation = CASH
    Vendor Name = ---------
    Charges = Actual Dollar Amount
    Credits = ---------
    Categories = [ “ ” = FOOD, h = HARDWARE, C=CTP, o = OTHER ]
    Purchased By = ---------
    Notes = “”

    To better illustrate my point I’ve attached a sample workbook.

    Thanks
    Mark

    I tried 3 times to download and open your attached file. Each time I received a 'not enough memory to load Excel'. Not a large file. Hasn't happened before with other files from this site, even with lots of things running. Internet Explorer was the only other job running the last attempt. Unless this is an issue with my machine, it could be why you have no responses yet.

    That sounds odd.
    The file is small. I had no trouble downloading or viewing it either.

    Anyone else have this trouble?
    If so please let me know and I 'll re-post under a new thread.

    Tim, it's an Excel 2007 macro enabled file. Unless you have the converter, you'd expect to run into trouble trying to open it with Excel 2002

    That will do it I guess. Thanks for the info. Are "2007 macro-enabled files" the only ones that end in ".xlsm"? (so I don't try this again)

    Well, I'm not sure about the "only", but if I see an excel file that ends in xlsm I know it's a macro enabled file.

    You can download a compatibility pack from Microsoft, so you can open XL 2007 files with your version, but there's no guarantee that the macros will work, because therer were quite a lot of changes in Excel and VBA.
