String to multidimensional array

Hi,
I was using Evaluate to translate a string in format of {1,2,3;4,5,6} into multi dimensional array in VBA.

But it seems that Evaluate fails (Error 2015) when the input string is longer than 255 characters.

How else can I have a string turned into a multi dimension array?

Any help appreciated.

Gives an error because it is longer than 255 characters

I need to get this into a 2d array though.
