    using a dynamic reference cell to copy a range of cells within a data table

    I have a list of terms and decriptors for 4 different job titles. Some of the terms are similar but the descriptors change based on the level of the job title.

    I am trying to prepopulate a part of a sheet within the workbook by referencing a cell on the first worksheet that has a drop down list of the 4 different job titles.

    So for example a user opens the file and sheet 2 is empty. On sheet 1 the user populates their employee information (name, job title) and based on their selected job title sheet 2 populates with the relevant information from sheet 3. The relevant information is spread across two columns
    Column a - Term
    Column B - Descriptor

    I realize this thread is old, and I don't know if this is the solution you are looking for but I able to generate prepopulated cells based on putting an "x" in a certain row. It involves using the setup laid out in these images...
