Excel button fixed to cell perform macro

Hi I am a newbie to the forum and writing macros in excel. I was wondering if someone could recommend a good book to be my assistant while I begin to fix up this excel worksheet I plan to use. In the meantime could someone give me a tip on how to create a button that would be fixed to a specific cell, and when clicked it would erase the entire row the button is on. I would also like the button to delete rows on a separate sheet, based on the value of a certain cell (e.g. name of a player).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Rod

Is there only going to be one button? or are you going to end up with many buttons?

Well there will be many buttons. I guess i should explain what the excel sheet is. I will use it to draft my fantasy baseball teams. It will have a column of players, and then corresponding columns to specific stats, like HR, AVG, RUNS, etc. I would like to be able to have a button as the last column in each row so that i can click it and remove that player from the sheet. As far as my request for removing values in a separate sheet this is because there will be a main tab that lists all batters, but there will also be a separate sheet that will contain only, third basemen for example. There will be the same player on both sheets, so i would like to click the remove player button on either sheet and have it remove all of their entries (the main hitters page and there respective eligible positions pages, which could be multiple)

    Thanks,
    Rod
