Using Solver to indicate the number of combinations needed to equal a given total

    Hello all,

Before asking this question, I've search thru the forum but couldn't find the solution I was looking for. I hope you can help.

This thread below is very close to what I need.... I think
    random numbers.xls from Mallycat

I wonder if we can tweak this file so that I can indicate the number of combinations needed to equal a given total.

Example: At work, I have about 6000+ amounts, and my report is missing 9 transactions totaling 999.99. So I know there's a combination of 9 transactions in this 6000+ lines that equal 999.99.

I've attached the original file from Mallycat. However, this file has something about random number and it doesn't work with decimals.

I did try to use the file developed by Tushar Mehta, but I got an error message when running, saying "Too Many Adjustable Cells" - I think Solver can only handle less than 200 numbers or something like that.

Thank you & sorry for the lengthy question!
