I agree with BergShorn on the use of Marlett Check boxes.
See attached.
You are NOT using option buttons in your worksheet, you have check box controls, which is the wrong type of control when you want users to make choice between selection. Check boxes are typically used for a "yes" or "no" , "on/off", choice.
Marlett check boxes are much cleaner and easier to use, IMO.
Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Range)
If Target.Cells.Count > 1 Then Exit Sub
If Not Intersect(Target, Range("H5:H7,J5:J7")) Is Nothing Then
Target.Font.Name = "Marlett"
Select Case Target.Column
Case 8 ' column-H
If Target = vbNullString Then
Target = "a"
Cells(Target.Row, "J").Value = vbNullString
Else
Target = vbNullString
End If
Case 10 'column-J
If Target = vbNullString Then
Target = "a"
Cells(Target.Row, "H").Value = vbNullString
Else
Target = vbNullString
End If
End Select
End If
End Sub
