    Worksheet_Change Function doesn't fire

    Hi,
    I just started writing Macros in Excel and have run into trouble. I am trying to implement the Worksheet_Change function to compute the values of certain fields depending on the new value of the field changed. The function fires for one set of the changed cells (the first if function) but not for the other and I can't figure out why. The code is as follows:

    I'm not quite sure this is the best way to do this and given that I am new to this, I will take suggestions to other ways this can be achieved. Any help is greatly appreciated. Please let me know.

    I'd use Range references rather than cells, just for visualization:
