    Question Stock spreadsheet

This is probably not do able-but I want to try it out.

I am trying to create a stock spreadsheet that will pull the stock price from the web, and update it once every minute. I have figured out how to to pull the stock info from the web. The problem I am having-is that it pulls a lot of other stuff I dont want with the price. I wish there was a way you could restrict it to just the stock price.

Im going to give you the layout of what im looking for.

    A1-Company Name
    B1-Stock price (regularly updating)
C1-Price I want stock to hit
D1-Price to get out of stock

I would like C1 and B1 to both turn green when it hits the stock price. I also want D1 and B1 to turn Red to signal when to get out. I would like to be able to copy this method down the rows.

Any pointers? I would like to do the work myself-as it would be a good learning opertunity.

    Thanks for any assistance!

Re: Need help creating a stock spreadsheet

Typically, these web-widget connections can be done onto a "scrap" sheet or even a hidden sheet. The pieces of info you want should end up in the same cells each update, so on your "working" sheet simply put cell references to those spots on the scrap sheets. Should be simple enough this way.
