    Highlight row range with Instr

    Hello All,

This is my first post so hopefully I've read all the stickys correctly first.

    Anywho:

When the variable "Cell" highlights its cell, in column C, based on the conditions, I would like it
to highlight the next 14 cells to the right of it on the active cells row.

    Any solutions?

    Welcome to the forum.

Why not just use conditional formatting?

    =isnumber(search("total", c1))
Entia non sunt multiplicanda sine necessitate

You don't really want to iterate through every row of col C ...

Brilliant!!! Thank you Leith, that resolved my issue in a dynamic way.

    Shg,
Thank you for your suggestion. Leith's works to where I would not need to enter that formula directly.
Becuase I do not know which cell is going to contain the "total" text. I'm not sure I fully understand how to apply your suggestion.
