    Date Calculation

    Hi Friends,

I am bit confused and need a great help.

On A1 cell I have entered the date as 05-Mar-2010
On B1 cell I have entered the date as 08-Mar-2010

Now what I want is, I need to calculate difference in B1 and A1, but when I calculate, excel shows me 3 days where I don't need this.

I want to eliminate Saturdays and Sundays so it should show me only 1 day. The overall concept is calculation is based on only working days.

Apart from this, if the difference between B1 and A1 is greater then 2 days, B1 cell should get colored in red

    Please Help

    Regards,
    Ravi

    Re: Date Calculation

For your date calculation I would suggest activating the Analysis ToolPak (via Tools -> Addins) and reviewing the NETWORKDAYS function.

Use standard conditional formatting to format B values, see: http://www.contextures.com/xlCondFormat03.html for a general intro in using formula based rules.
