    Exclamation Inventory in Excel

dude i am posting this everywhere - i dont know how much u can help but i am sure u can figure out something...ur good with VB
use excel, access or vb - if u can get this thing working - i wud then get this compiled into a vb program

i am trying to create a daily sale stock inventory without accounts in excel. The idea is to keep a track of current stock.
Column A - Unique I of each SUK - which is alphanumeric
Column B - Name of Item (SUK)
    Column C - SUK catagory
Column C - stock in Store
Column D - Stock in iarhouse

now what i wish to do is

    1. stock transfer from iarhouse to store - and keep a track what was transfered on which day

    2. entry of sales each day - now i have say 20 items and 1 of those 20 items is sold to 3 different clients - i must be able to enter the value independntly - ie say when i am putting in the sales - bill no.1 has 1 of x item , then bill 4 has 1 of x item and bill 16 has 1 of x item - i should be able to keep putting in 1 for every bill entry and the inventory should be able to subtract automatically - not put 3 together to reduce the stock by 3 or put 1 first and then put 2 again and then when i am putting the sale of bill 16 - change the 2 i put earlier to 3.

    4. I should be able to generate a list of items sold in 1 day - as in print the items whose quantity has changed in that very day.

    5. also i would like to have a gui - a form which can help me locate items using the unique id which the items have been assigned in Column A.

    6. and also generate list to see various catagories - say i have - ball, racket, bat, stick - i should be able to filter our only ball or racket or bat or stick as per my requirement

I know this is a little complicated system. I request all excel gurus to kindly help me with this.

    I shall remain obliged.

    Re: Inventory in Excel

    Ankit,
You have described your requirements and you expect someone to build it for you.
This forum doesn't work that way. You can ask for help with specific formula or a process. But first you need to create a format [a sample file] with all the items and categories. Then explain where you want the results, logic and rules for calculations etc.

    Other optios:
    1. Hire someone to build it for you.
    2. Buy a canned inventory program and adopt it for your use.
