    Worksheet password

    Hi,

I have a excel workbook with several worksheet relating to different divisions. One division may have 1 worksheet, 2 worksheets 3 worksheets, 4 worksheets or more etc..

I have attached a workbook with some worksheets for some divisions, for example i want division SH to see worksheets Beech, Carl, Oak and Martin, LC to only see MRF, NHFT, FUND, PM to only see IT etc...

There are over 20 divisions with nearly 100 worksheets in my workbook and i only want the divsion to see worksheets relating to them..

Does anybody know of a code that will ask the division for a user name and password and then only let them see the worksheets in the workbook that relate to them.

Please help as i am struggling with something this complectaed.

    Thanks

    Good afternoon s999

I have a template available that does exactly what you require. It stores a list of users and passwords, and which sheets are to be accessed by which users. You, as administrator, can see all worksheets and control which sheets users can access.

The security on this isn't 100%, as we are using Excel, which by its very nature is not completely secure, but it should keep out most nosey parkers.

If you prefer to write something of your own, then all my code is unprotected, so you could use that to get some ideas, or fine tune the workings.

If you would like a copy of this template, then please PM me your e-mail address.
