Question Combo box lookup

I have recenlty been assigned the task of creating a database of product codes. The database must be made in excel, due to another program linking to it, and must be made using userform input and searches etc.

The code is made up of 8 digits, the first 4 are 'intelligent'. I.e. The first number denotes the category, the second denotes the subcategory, and the third (two digit number) denotes the type within that chosen subcategory.

The last 4 digits are simply consecutive and refer to the standard sizes the parts come in. I have thousands of things to catalogue.

I am in the midst of creating a wizard so parts can be added, or looked up, and the correct first 4 digits assigned; refering to the correct type, subcategory and category of that item.

I have attached a copy of what i have got so far, i have used royuk's code from a previous post, but seem to have a bug when selecting some items, ie the category comes up in the subcateogry list and when selected causes a error message... i need help!!

So please could any of you geniuses give me a hand in making this thing work, it would be much apreciated!

You have already taught me everything i know!!

    Re: Combo box lookup problem!

You're allowing the "titles" of your Sheet3 lists into the second combobox. The only thing that should appear are usable values. Change this:
Please Login or Register to view this content.
Also, on Sheet3, there's no real value in having those spaces in column A, tuck those values up close together to make the list neat.

Always put your code between code tags.
your code here
