VBA to update PowerPoint slides.

I have a number of PowerPoint files with upwards of 125 slides in them each. Each of these slides is linked to a picture on varying sheets on 1 of 2 Excel files. To update the slides, I have to open one of the excel files, open a specific sheet, enter one of my project numbers into a specific cell, hit enter, and go back to the slide and manually update the link. I do this for every slide on every PowerPoint file, every week.

I am trying to find a way/write a macro that will automate this for me at the push of a button. I would like to be able to open an Excel file (or whatever is best) every Tuesday (for example) and click a button that will make all of this happen for me at once.

Any ideas, suggestions, or guidance will be very appreciated!

Just to make sure we arn't barking up the wrong tree can you attach a sample of your PPT and XLS. (Just one or two slides and minimal data).

The types of links and data can make a diference.
