    Using a defined name as part of a col heading

    I dont know if this is possible.

    Suppose on sheet1 in cell A1 i have the letter E.

    Then suppose on sheet2 in cells A1 through Z1 I want to have the
    E1,E2, E3....E26.

    Now suppose that i change cell A1 on sheet 1 from E to A
    I would now have on sheet2 in cells A1 through Z1
    A1,A2,A3.....A26

    Is this even possible?

    See if the attached is what you want. You would need to use the INDIRECT function and a helper cell (used to change the letter reference).

    =INDIRECT("Sheet1!"&$A$1&COLUMN())

    Using cell A1 as the helper.
