    Muliple formulas in a cell

I have a "master" spreadsheet that I need to pull information from to a separate spreadsheet. I need to pull a specific number for a specific person from a specific field and post that into the new spreadsheet. Then I want to say if this number is "XXX" then I want that field to say "YYY" or "ZZZ". I am using the ID number as the linking field because it unique.

I think a better example is needed.. Are you wanting to lookup a name and if the number associated is one thing, then reply with "YYY" else reply with "ZZZ"?

    maybe it's =IF(Vlookup(A1,Sheet2!$A$1:$B$100,2,FALSE)="XXX","YYY","ZZZ")
Where there is a will there are many ways.
