How to create an auto-updating list from my data

I need to have an auto-updating list which draws it's content from the data within the current sheet.

I need to basically take any rows which have a "clear future" in column D, and copy their contact information data from columns A through C into this list. which will update itself. So that if a lead becomes "successful" rather than "clear future", it will be automatically removed from the list.

I assume it is easier to have this updating list appear on a new sheet, but if it is possible, can it appear on the same sheet, in a different spot?

anything is helpful! thanks!! (excel 2007)

    From the forum rules...

    8. Cross-posting is when you post the same question in other forums on the web. You'll find people are disinclined to respond to cross-posts because they may be wasting their time solving a problem that has been solved elsewhere. We prefer that you not cross-post at all, but if you do (and it's unlikely to go unnoticed), you MUST provide a link (copy the url from the address bar in your browser)to the cross-post. Expect cross-posts without a link to be closed a message will be posted by the moderator explaining why. We are here to help so help us help you!

Re: How to create an auto-updating list from my data

I have only started on forums today, because I am at work and trying to streamline an excel sheet. I am having trouble with a couple things that are preventing me from moving forward with the sheet, and I was just looking to find an answer as quickly as I could. I didnt realize that cross-posting was against the rules. I appologize.

    Ignore this post.

the reason I posted here, is because I had posted on another forum, and I didnt get an answer. It quickly ended up at the bottom of the page. And unfortunately I needed to find an alternative source for an answer. my bad.

Maybe the reason you have not gotten a lot of interest in your post here or the other forum is because it doesn't quite make sense.

Did you consider the suggestion from the other forum? May not be what you wanted, but somebody did try to help.

If what was suggested does not meet your requirements you can always type a reply and write *bump*, or better yet, thank the person who helped and see if they can provide some more insight on how to figure out your dilema.

I didnt realize someone had responded, as I didnt check back to that forum once my post went to the bottom. I will respond to them now that I am aware (thanks for the lesson in manners though). Perhaps not instantly however.

And how would I know my post didnt make sense?
