Re: Email notification on certian date

    Hello railside,

    Welcome to the Forum!

It would help to know a few more details.

    1. Will the email addresses be located on the same sheet?
    2. Do you want the email sent out at both 10 months and 12 months ahead?
    3. Is Windows Live your default email program or do you want to Outlook?
    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

    Remember To Do the Following....

    Leith Ross,

For the License Expires cell column, "License Expires" , for the Medical Card Expires cell column, "Medical Card Expires" ,for the start date column "Review".

    Hello railside,

Hopefully one last question. Will you be logged onto to Windows Live when the workbook is open?

Re: Email notification on certain date

    Leith Ross,

I was hoping that it would auto send the email notification whether I was logged on or off. But if I had to choose Logged on.I know that I typed windows live for default my bad that is my home office but this is to be used at work so the default would actually be outlook.

    Hello railside,

Here is preliminary workbook. The dates are checked for being 10 and 12 ahead. I just want to look it over before I do any more in case you want to add or change somethings. Here is the macro that has been added to the workbook. You can run it using ALT+F8

Re: Email notification on certain date

    Leith Ross,

It looks and works pertty good, but do I have to press alt and f8 to send email, or will it send email automatically when certain dates fall in that 10 months and 1 year range. When I send email it sends all 3 Start Date review, License Expires, Medical Card Expires even if one or two dates are well before/after 10 months or a year is close.

I would like the start date review notice to be sent at 1 year from date in B2 column
I would like the License Expires notice to be sent at 10 months from date in C2 column
I would like the Medical Card Expires notice to be sent at 10 months from date in D2 column

    Thank you for time

Re: Email notification on certain date

    Hello railside,

I held off on the auto mailing by date until I was sure the format was what you wanted. I will add that in. It can be setup to check the dates and send the emails once the workbook is open. Also a button could be added to manually run the macro at anytime. I should be able to that this evening.

That would be great, it is one of those files that once it is up and running don't need to see info again for awhile, just to be sent the email.

Re: Email notification on certain date

    railside;

Edited message to replace file. There was a bug in the 1st one.
Here's a file for you to test Copy of employee dates 2-2.xls. I don't have Outlook, so I had to trust that Leith's sub() worked for you.

When the file is opened it will run Send_Out_Emails(), which will send out any emails that are due, then reschedule itself to run again in 24 hours. So if you leave the file open, it will run every 24 hours. If you close the file, it will set up the schedule again the next time you open it.

The file automatically sets dates for sending out emails. You may change the dates as you see fit.
