Colour cell if using validation list

Hi All

I have some info in cell C107(no), 108(yes), 109(n/a) & 110(blank). each cell has a colour and text, i want to still have the colour when i use the validation-list option and select the cells for the info (c107,108 etc..) i can get the text but no colour in colum N, just a side option i wanted to activate the no in the selected cell if something is activated in cell A8 so N8 starts as no the you select from list
