Formula to Copy Column and Paste in new Worksheet in Ascending Order

    Hi Guys.

I need a formula to copy a column from my "Master" worksheet to a new worksheet and paste it in ascending order. I need to keep the Member Number and First name also to match the new order of the column. If possible, I would like to keep the formula to one cell and not have to create new columns next to the existing columns. I have a user form that paste data in those cells and I don't want to have to recode the user form.

Please find a attached an example file.

    Thanks.

    Drew.

Your example should include what your desired result would be.

Sorry, new file attached with desired result indicated on Sheet 1. So in summary, I need a formula to copy / paste the three columns from the "Master" Worksheet into Worksheet 1 in the order displayed.

    Thanks.

Basically you want the information from sheet 1 to go to the Master sheet and sort it, is this correct?
Is this going to happen when you click the button on the UserForm?
Is the UserForm going to paste into the master sheet?

No, I need the information to be copied from the Master sheet to sheet 1 and sorted. New members will be added to the Master Sheet via the UserForm and automatically assign a new member number. Sheet 1 will be used to update each members monthly due payments and having the members in alphabetical order will make that job much easier.

    Thanks for your help

Yes, my example shows what I want the end product to look like just not the formula I need to make it happen. I would like the formula to reside on Sheet 1 and each time a new name is added to the Master Worksheet the formula brings the new member over to sheet 1 in alphabetical order.

    Hope that explains it.

    Thanks

I can only assume you want this to happen when you click the button on your userform, see the attached example.
When you Show the UserForm, it will count the items in Sheet1 and give a new number for the next entry and place it in TextBox1. It then adds the new entry into the Master Sheet then sends it to Sheet1 and sorts it.

Re: Formula to Copy Column and Paste in new Worksheet in Ascending Order

I have attached a file that is almost there, but I would like to try and get a cleaner version of the formula and better outcome if possible. As my userform adds new members it automatically assigns a new member number. On Sheet1 I have formula that looks at the Master Sheet and arranges the contents in ascending order by last name. The formula works ok but doesn't get the alphabetizing quite right and requires another column on the Master Sheet which I am trying to avoid.

Hope this better illustrates my problem.

Thanks for your help thus far.
