    Looking up data for calculations

    Hello there!

I知 trying to write a macro, but I知 stuck.

I致e two sheets, SHEET1 & SHEET2. On SHEET2 I have a lot of data, which is updated a few times a day. SHEET2 contains some dataset, which are row-based.

In SHEET1 I need to do some calculations, but before that I need to look up data in SHEET2.
On SHEET1 I知 having two cells, CELL1 and CELL2. CELL1 contains a name and that name has some corresponding values in CELL2, which are to be looked up two different rows in SHEET2 on order to find the correct row.

When that row has been found, I need to do the calculations, which means e.g. the I need the value from e.g. column Y and column YY and e.g multiply that. I need to display the result on SHEET1

    How do I attack this?

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

If needed supply a before and after sheet in the workbook so the person helping you can see what you are trying to achieve.

Doing this will ensure you get the result you need!

Of course. I've attached a workbook to this reply, containing an example. I've changed it just to be a list of the data looked up on sheet 2 istead of calculation. Then i can do the calculation on sheet one instead with the data found.
