    kiranindia,
your question is not clear. Your data does not support your question. Please mock up an expected result in your workbook and explain the logic that leads to it.

    cheers

    Sure

I have excel sheet with 4 columns, User Name, Manufacturing Item, Quantity and Time taken to manufacture that particular item.

I have the data for all users.

Now i wanted to calculate total time taken for each group (i.e Maufacturing items) and total quantity of each groups.

Then i wanted to calcualte the efficiency. i.e how efficient a user with another user.

Formula is: efficiency = Total time taken / particular user time taken.

I have revised the spread sheet and attached.

    Re: Format Using Macro

What is the question? You already have a formula that performs the calculation you describe.

I guess you want to compare each user's efficiency based on the total time and quantity, then maybe in E2

    =($C$5/$D$5)/(C2/D2)

copy down and adjust ranges for each Manufacturing item group.
