Maco to create new tabs with data within an excel spread sheet

I attached a file called example. In column A I have a unique number for each worksheet I need created. For "1" would need a single work sheet. I also only want to include columns titles a through ak that have values. So the first worksheet would have 3 rows and 3 columns.

I have a macro that may be "ready to use" for parsing rows of data from one sheet to many sheets named for the same values.

Sheet1 to Many Sheets

It not only can parse the rows, it can create the sheets if they are missing.

Hi lissa;

I'm attaching a workbook that does what you asked. I'm sure it's not 100%, but it should be close.

It creates worksheets named "Sheet 1", "Sheet 2", "Sheet 3" (different from "Sheet1", "Sheet2", etc.) for the data.

I tested the upload just now and it crashes trying to add the sheets. I don't have time to fix it right now, so before running "Split_Sheet" macro, add blank sheets and name them "Sheet 1", "Sheet 2", and "Sheet 3" (with space between "Sheet" & number), then run "Split_Sheet".

I'll be back in a few hours and see if I can fix it.

Excellent. I seems to be working well. I am going to try it shortly on my larger file. If you can get it to work completly that would be great, but if not this way will still save me hours of work!

Hi Lissa;

I still don't know why it's crashing, but if you change this line, it appears to work. It just doesn't put the sheet where I wanted to put it.

Click EDIT in your original post, click GO ADVANCED and set the PREFIX box to SOLVED.
