I am not sure if excel can accomplish what it is I am looking for, but I figured it was worth a shot. I work in search engine marketing and need some help taking a long list of keywords and grouping them into adgroups. An adgroup is a group of similar terms. For example, the adgroup "diabetes symptoms" would contain keywords like "symptoms of diabetes, what are diabetes symptoms, common diabetes symptoms, etc.). I have attached a similar example.
Column B contains all of my keywords, Column G is the list of pre-qualified adgroup names, and Column A is where I need to assign the relevant adgroup name. This has always been a very manual proccess that I am trying to automate. Originally, I would auto-filter the keyword column for all keywords that contained the adgroup. So if I was working on the "3pl logistics" adgroup I would auto-filter the keyword column to find all terms containing "3pl" and contain "logistics" and would continue this process until all keywords have been assigned an adgroup.
The results don't have to be perfect, I am just looking to get a big chunk of the keywords associated to an adgroup, it's ok if it's a loose association.
Thanks!
James
