Same/different matching between two rows

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me with the function I need to examine whether values in the first cell of one row are the same/different from those in the second cell of the row? I am comparing values of maximum dive depth (Column A) with ocean depth (Column B). These values are linked, as each is a value recorded for each specific dive and the depth of the ocean varies. I would like to examine the amount of dives which reach the sea-bed (i.e., which values from Column A match the correlated values in Column B), if possible I would like to calculate the amount that match and the amount that don't, as my data sheet is very large (150,000+ dives) and it would be nearly impossible to count them!

I can use the following function to match if the values of Column A matches with Column B in a particular row. I have shown a comparison for first 15 rows. you can do it for 1500000 rows as well.

This is an array formula so after entering the formula, you will need to press ctrl+shift+enter rather than just enter.
