Alternative to range names

Hi

I'm trying to figure out an alternative to range names.

I want to create a macro that makes a range selection between two points.

Cell A1 contains the value "Start"
Cell R10 contains the value "Stop"

I want excel to make the selection "A1:R10" based on this.

I've been experimenting with the function Application.Union. No luck so far.

It's probably really easy to do this, but Professor Google ins't very helpful today.
