Paste list, depending on wording in a cell

    Hey,

Im having a small project for my mother at the moment.

The whole thing is basicly a foodchart, whats gonna be eaten on a certain day, and what ingridients diffrent foods have.

I have made a simplyfied version of what i have done, and attached it, basicly every info needed is in there (have written all my comments on what i want to do in RED)

Basicly what i would need if it was possible is a script or similar that:

Check the menu for the week.
Depending on what we gonna eat on Monday, it takes the Dish, goes to the "recipies" tab copy all the ingredients for that dish (in this case Pasta) and then paste it on the third page "total"

So for a full week i will have a rather long list of all ingredients needed to make the food for that week.

This is way over my Excel and scripting knownledge so im just hoping that this would be possible to do within Excel. Any hint and help would be appriciated.

I've made a change to the way DISHLIST creates itself. It will now be created automatically as you add recipes to the Recipes sheet. OK?

Then the TOTAL sheet will collect all the ingredients each time you activate the sheet. Here's the sheet macro:

I have one small thing that im wondering if it would work,

The phrase when i switch over from "recipies" to "total" Is it possible to copy 3 colums in any way?

I have changed the apperance of the "recipe" page so its possible to see wat i mean.

A last way out i guess would be to "make 3 lines into 1" dont know the english name. And then when you switch over to "total" you run a consolidate macro that split the texxt up to 3 colums.

Your original layout and plan was much more workable.

I've reworked the DISHLIST method again. It's now in column A on RECIPES. As you add new 3-column sections to the right, the column A list should continue to expand down to row 50. If you add more recipes than that, copy that formula down even further in the column, then adjust the DISHLIST Named Range formula,

    Here's the new macro:
