Red face How to switch between source and 2 new workbooks?

Hi! I've been trolling this and other sites but can't seem to find what I need. I have a parent worbook (with dynamic name) and I want to take 2 sheets from it and copy/paste them into 2 new workbooks, then save each workbook with a specific name format.

My problem is I can't seem to figure out how to set the DIMs and make it work to flip between the parent workbook (wbchecklist) and the 2 new workbooks.

I've tried ActivewWorkbook, but when I get to naming the first NEW workbook, it stops.

Any (simple - haha) solutions? I'm hoping I'm just missing something obvious!

You can use ThisWorkbook tor refer to the workbook that has your macro code in it. Use Activeworkbook to refer to the workbook that is active.

    OR

You can save your parent workbook's name as a variable and refer to it that way.
Is your code running too slowly?
Does your workbook or database have a bunch of duplicate pieces of data?

It will save both time and effort in the long run!

Thanks! I'll give that a try! Sounds simple! I like it!
