    improve my macro efficiency

    Hi,

I wrote a macro that is going to help me automate our bank rec process, but apparently, the macro is taking a bit quiet time to run as shown below. The macro takes about 4-5 minutes for just one schedule ( I have 5 schedules). Is there anyway I can make the macro run faster.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello JieJenn,

It can be improved to run faster. To make the needed changes it would be best if you could supply a sample workbook. Since this information is likely to sensitive and confidential, you should change names and accounts in your sample. The sample only needs to be laid out the same as the original and can be of any size.
    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

Does that code do what you want?

It looks to me (just guessing) that this is what you want:

    Hi,

Attached is samples of the working file. Basically what I am trying to do is to copy transaction based on Column E transaction type and distribute them into different worksheet.

    Even a hint will help.

    Many thanks.

    Re: improve my macro efficiency

The second workbook contains both input and output?

    What's JVMS vs JVMS(4)?

The output sheets are T, SchdA, & SchdB?

Sheet T contains multiple categories in col E -- ?

Maybe you can explain a little, JieJenn. What are you trying to do that can't be done more easily by filtering?

    Re: improve my macro efficiency

Hi sorry for not clearing. Every month I do the bank reconciliation for my job. I distribute the bank activities based on the tender type in column E into different schedule.

So I am trying to create a macro that is going to do the job. T is the master list.

    Thanks
    Jie Jenn

First, insert a header row above the data on sheet T. Use any random column titles you like

    Then try this:

    Hey Shg,

Thanks for the solution. Wasn't thinking using filter as one of the alternative.

    Thanks,
