    Rainflow algorithm in Excel

    Hi,

I am using rainflow algorithm to find out fatigue results for my signals generated from oscilloscope. Is there a way to write the algorithm in excel spreadsheet(excel 2000/2003) to run in excel. I downloaded the algorithm from the matlab for my DOS program. Can I use the same algorithm in excel?
Are there any programs to find out the fatigue cycles of a signal using excel.
Also I am trying to understand the algorithm to make any changes in the future. Is there a way to understand the algorithm. I would appreciate if anyone respond quickly.

    Thanks,
    Vamsi.

It appears you could buy it at http://www.stotera.com/stoflo/, there is VBA code at http://www.eng-tips.com/viewthread.c...=117296&page=1, and an algorithm described in http://www.virginiadot.org/vtrc/main.../pdf/02-r4.pdf

    Re: Rainflow algorithm in Excel

I am trying to do a rainflow count using StoFlo but I get an error on the RF counting sheet when I click the button to Begin Counting Rainflow Cycles. It says 'Compile error in hidden module. module 5'. I am wondering if it may not be designed to run in 64 bit? Any help appreciated.
