    Hello,

what do you mean with "extract data from jpg image to excel sheet"? What kind of data would you want to extract from the jpeg? Or do you want to insert an image into an Excel sheet?

    Please explain.

No...I don't want to insert image in spread sheet.Suppose some text is written in image i.e."how r u?" then i want to extract "how are u ?" from image and put it into cell1 of spread sheet.

A jpeg is an image. Whatever is in that image is not extractable as a distinct unit.

Just as you cannot extract a tree or a face or any other part of the image, you can't extract text. It's just a bunch of compacted pixels.

you would need to use some OCR software to attempt to extract text from image.

Yes, I too think the only option to extract text is using an OCR package. If you have MS office installed with all the components, use Microsoft Office Document Imaging. You may have to convert your jpeg to a TIF file (you can do it with MS paint)
