    Hi

Can you please review the forum rules regarding code tags. I've put them in for you this time.

How about adding an example file. I'm not sure what you are pulling from column B. Is it a boolean or a number?

you are testing found against the result of the vlookup???

Or are you trying to see if solv exists in column A?

Maybe explain what you are trying to achieve.

I am trying to find solv in column A or B but I am comparing those results with found. If solv is found then it should proceed, but if solv is not found, "found" should result in an error which should display a message box saying that the results can not be found and then restart the asking process.

    Hi

If you are trying to find solv in columns A or B, then vlookup won't really help you much.

    Do something like

    Then you can test found
