I need some assisstant with a problem it have at work. I have a column J named Resolution date and column M which is a indicater and column N closure date.

This is the way i need it to work.

If the closure date is four days or more over the resolution date i want column M box to turn red.

If the closure date is 1 to 3 days over i want column M to turn amber.

If the closure date is the same as the Resolution date i want it to be Green.

    I Hope this makes sense.

have you tried using conditional formatting? It's located under the format dropdown box.

Re: Automated colour fill based on dates PROBLEM

Marcol thanks for the reply, ave tried it but without success.

I need the indicator cell to automaticly produce the colour corresponding to the differences in dates, which it doesnt seem to be doing.

    Is there another way?

Re: Automated colour fill based on dates PROBLEM

Thanks for your time on this matter.

There just one thing that is wrong and that down to me not explaining properly.

When entering the dates, if you enter a closure date before the resolution date the coloured filled cell remains blank.

Any date before and current to the resolution dates needs to be green.

    Can you help?
