How to make a program for graphs

    Hi everyone!

I wonder if someone can help me simplify my process in preparing my Load Profile Graph. In a worksheet, I have 24 sheets of graph in an hourly basis and I manually select the data to create the graph making it so tedious to do.

I have a month more load profile graphs to make.

    Please see attached sample file.

    Thanks a lot!

    Hello John_brown,

see attached, Sheet1. Enter the date, the start time and the end time.

There are dynamic ranges that define the extent of the graph.

To get the background on how it's done, start with http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/Dynamics.html

Once you get the gist, you may want to create control elements with drop-downs or check boxes to select the start and end times.

    cheers,

    Hi teylyn!

Can I also create dynamic ranges on the other charts on the succeeding sheets? If you can see I have 24 charts in 1 worksheet.

Thanks a lot for your help.

The idea with the dynamic charts is that you do not need 24 different ones. Just change the date, start time and end time and the respective time period will be displayed.

Otherwise, creating dynamic range names would be pointless.
