    search database

    Hello,
I would like some help with a macro that searches a "database" which is located in a sheet from another sheet. I want people to choose which title you should look into using a rolling list and then enter a value and then press search. Then, the macro download the information from the "database"

    See attached file.

    Thanks in advance
    Sincerely
    Svanis

    Re: search database

No macro is needed, a standard INDEX/MATCH can look up the matching rows in realtime with the assistance of an added KEY column to your database.

    Re: search database

A macro isn't really necessary, AutoFilter would do the job.

If you want to use a macro then record a macro whilst filtering the data. This code can then be adapted for future use
    Hope that helps.
