    Activate worksheet using wildcard

    Hi,

I get spreadsheets from a system that generates names like "Report_154687.xls"

I cannot predict the serial number at the end, but would like to select the worksheet. Can you use wildcard functions to select sheets?

    Please help?
    Thanks!

    Re: Activate worksheet using wildcard

    Hello contra76,

A worksheet is part of the workbook and not a separate file. I think you want to open a workbook using a wild card from a particular directory, don't you? What is the name of the directory where these files are saved?
    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

actually yes, you're right. I would like to select a workbook as opposed to a worksheet.

Let's say the directory is \\directory\projects\test_123123.xls
