Minimum or Maximum of a variable by batches

How do i get the cumulative minimum of a variable by batches? That is, say in cell E4 i want the minimum value from cell D2 to D4 and in cell E5 i want to get the minimum value of cell D2 to D5. However, the catch is i need a formula to make sure the command renews itself every different day. That is, in cell E15, because its already a different day, it will show the value of D15. And in cell E18, it will show the minimum value of D15 to D18. Pls advise...Thanks!!
