macro to access data in oracle 11i e business suite

    Hello

I was after a little bit of help on writing a macro.

I am attempting to access oracle 11i e business suite, manipulate and sort data, extract the data and then copy and paste in to a excel workbook i am using.

I have had a good search and look but have come up stumped, could anybody point me in the right direction.

I want the macro to be in excel and work in oracle and bring the data back to my excel workbook.

I have had a good look in oracle forums but cannot find anything.

Any help, or pointers in the right direction would be appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Joe

    Hi Joe

Do you have access to Discoverer. If you do, you can export a report as a web query and open it in Excel. You can then refresh the report directly from Excel. See here:

I don't think there's any way to directly interrogate the Oracle database.
