OK, I give in! What's a UDT? Underwater Demolition Team? Undersea Defence Technology? Several options are listed here: http://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/UDT

If you mean "User Defined Type", can you clarify the context? Thanks

OK ... thank you for that. I learn something new from this forum every day!

So, in this case, a UDT is a User Defined Type and romperstomper has explained (in some detail) how to define one and use it.

At first sight, it seems a tedious way to have to process the data but, I guess, the alternative is to use a lot of MID functions with a huge propensity for human error.

The more I think of it, the more I like the idea. Now all I need is somewhere to use it!

It sounds as though the question has already been answered then, or am I missing something?

    Regards
