write value to cell based on contents of another

    Hi anyone/everyone,

I think my macro is 95% there - no errors but it's not performing any functions either!

I want it to decide if the date in column A is <2010 or >2010 and write a value of "PYNB" if the answer is the former or "IYNB" if it is the latter.

Very simple but I'm using thousands of rows so this will considerably cut my PC's processing time rather than have excel do this as a formula.

If anyone can tell me where I've got things wrong I would be grateful for your help.

    thanks
    Alan
