Text to Number

Hello everybody!

I have a couple of letters (aka answers to questions) in a cell, such as -

AEAABDAAEDCADCEDBCADAADEACDBCCCDECDDBDCBB

I need to prepend consecutive numbers to each letter, any help will be appreciated!

1.A 2.E 3.A 4.A 5.B 6.D 7.A 8.A 9.E 10.D 11.C 12.A etc.

I took some earlier example of conc. range and that might be a good start but I don't know how to finnish it..

maybe someone could continue...

Not really clear in terms of

a) no. of strings are being adjusted

b) whether originals are to be overridden

but in general terms I think you will want to use VBA - to that end the below is a basic example but there will be more efficient alternatives.
First however it would be good to know answers to both questions outlined above
