Populating the list in a combobox based off the value chosen in another combobox

Please forgive me if this has been asked and answered before. I did search the forum to check and found nothing, so here's my question.

In my worksheet I have two comboboxes and one huge table that is used to provide the list of the first combobox (combobox-a). Combobox-b is a small list of strings that I want to be able to use to set a filter on the list of combobox-a. How might I be able to do this?

    Hi,

Use the small list of strings as the rowsource property for combobox-b. Then in the Change event of combobox-b update a criteria cell, and run a macro which uses advance filter to filter the large list using the criteria cell to an ouput area which will contain a smaller subset list. Use a dynamic range name on the filtered list and use that name as the rowsource property for combobox-a
